Volunteer Society Nepal : The best experience for volunteers, the best value for Nepal.
We do not have to describe how powerful was the earthquake that hit Nepal on April 25th. The media worldwide covered the news in-depth about this devastating earthquake which measured 7.8 Richter scale .
Volunteer Society Nepal went into action immediately as soon as the communication, transportation & electricity resumed in Kathmandu. Initially VSN distributed 100 packets of puffed rice, 10 cartons of instant noodles, 2 cartons of biscuits, and 50 kgs of beaten rice to the earthquake victims at Bhotechaur Pandey village in Sindhupalchowk district, where all the houses were destroyed by the devastating earthquake.
The next day, VSN distributed foodstuff, tarpaulins, water purifier and masks to the earthquake victims in Kavre district. VSN will continue its supply of relief materials and prepare rehabilitation & education programmes for orphaned children and the women, who lost their families. Volunteer Society Nepal will concentrate its programme where human casualties and physical structures damage are high.
