Volunteer Society Nepal : The best experience for volunteers, the best value for Nepal.
Having a strong desire for exploring new cultures by visiting different countries, Miss Rebecca, a 25 years old lady from Italy found Nepal to be her destination for volunteering her services for a period of four weeks. After graduating herself in Business and Management, she came to Nepal through Volunteer Society Nepal – VSN.
She has a craving to closely and minutely observe the people, culture and traditions of other countries and compare the same with that of her own, thereby gaining the in-depth knowledge. She also likes to challenge herself by putting herself in different unfamiliar environments and considering how she fares.
She at the moment is staying with a Nepali family and working with Nepali women at the Women Center in Kathmandu, teaching them the English language and learning how to cook Nepali food. She has become fond of Nepali cousins. She seems to have been enjoying her time in Nepal and is happy that she had made the right decision of signing up with Volunteer Society Nepal – VSN.
She will be in Kathmandu working with women for the first stage of her volunteering whereas in the second phase she will work in a monastery in Pokhara where she will teach English to the monks undergoing training on Buddhist philosophy. She will avail herself of ample opportunities to fulfil her objective of visiting Nepal as a volunteer.
