Dr. Yojana Shrestha PT, DPT is voluntarily providing her professional service to mentally and physically retarded children at VSN’s charity project Centre for Children with Intellectually Disabled at Baneshwor, Kathmandu since 2nd of February 2014. Dr. Shrestha is helping to restore function & maximize independence of those disabled children through varieties of therapies. She is assisting in improving the quality of life of mentally/physically retarded children by careful assessment, therapeutic exercises, advice & education. Meena KC, in charge at disability care centre told that the children are showing lot of improvements in motor skills & motion patterns.
Dr. Shrestha is helping us to set up a well equipped physical therapy unit at the centre as well.
Dr. Yojana Shrestha received her degree in physical therapy from USA & is in Kathmandu for family visit. VSN & disability care centre would like to thank Dr. Shrestha for her professional help & guidance.
