Urgent notice about VSNs regular volunteering programmes:
The devastating earthquake that shook Nepal has not only brought the Nepalese communities to its knees but has also led to the loss of human lives and damage of vast properties with lack of resources. At this moment of huge crisis we all come together in mitigating the distress of all victims and their families to our best. Once again we would like to thank all who expressed their concern and support. Life seems to be returning to normal in less affected areas. There were less damages in Kathmandus urban areas.
Together with sincere appeal to help Nepal in this situation, Volunteer Society Nepal would like to inform all our upcoming volunteers who have confirmed their volunteering by sending their flights details and also those who are thinking to join our regular volunteering programmes (teaching at schools, teaching at women centre, teaching at monastery, helping the mentally disabled children, internship etc as mentioned in our website) will run smoothly. There will be no changes in our schedule. Extra safety & security measures will be taken seriously by VSN regarding the condition of buildings at the volunteering placements, home stays, and also about transportation. There are no restrictions for travelling in Nepal, neither any policies has been changed. Nepal needs you and your support at this very crucial time.
