Christmas is an annual festival, commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. It is celebrated by billions of people primarily on December 25. Christmas is also celebrated in Nepal. The amount of people practicing the Christian religion in Nepal is low and most people are Hindi. But still we believe all the religions are the same and all festivals should be celebrated with joy and happiness!
Our energetic and respected volunteer, Ageeth from the Netherlands, has been introducing new teaching methodologies to the women at the Women’s Center for two months now. Ageeth is here in Nepal in the month of December. Ageeth says, “I had a super Christmas! A very different Christmas, and in a very special way! I will never forget. These special moments make me happy every time.” Volunteers, Iris and Mayke were also here at the center enjoying the celebration.
On Christmas day, we started with warm Christmas wishes to each other. Then Ageeth told the story of Christmas to the women. The event was secluded with the farewell of our volunteer Ageeth. The women brought different homemade varieties of Nepali dishes. They also dance, sing songs, wear hats and exchanged warm wishes, thanking all the volunteers for their support.

We are deeply indebted to all the volunteers who have been supporting and donating to our projects.
