VSN’s day trip to Dhulikhel for its Volunteers (July 2013)

Volunteer Society Nepal volunteers who have been volunteering in VSN’s several charity projects in Kathmandu went for a short hiking trip to Dhulikhel on July 13^th 2013. There were forty volunteers from Netherlands, China and other countries who joined the trip. Due to monsoon season, our friends could not get chance to view magnificent Himalayan ranges. The lush green mountains, exhilarating effect of pure mountain air, far from city’s hustle bustle and sunshine at the time of monsoon made the trip a life time memorable. Volunteer Society Nepal (VSN) organizes such short trips for its volunteers annually.

Dhulikhel is a small Newar town just 32kms east of Kathmandu is situated at the hill. The road to Dhulikhel is Arniko Highway, which connects Kathmandu with Tibet’s border. It is Located on a hilltop surrounded by lush greenery & the place has become a major tourist attraction. The proximity to both natural beauty and historic town has added to Dhulikhel’s charm.
