“Centre for Children with Intellectual Disabilities” (supported & run by Volunteer Society Nepal) participated “8th National Sports 2071” organised by Special Olympics Nepal on Oct 30th, 31st & Nov 1st 2014. The event was held in Narayanghat, city in the terai region near Chitwan National Park. The slogan for this event was Let me win, if not encourage my effort
Our children Ashish, Saru, Prachi & Srijana participated in different athletics events. Prachi & Srijana bagged medals.
Hats off to these children- this made us very proud.
The children enjoyed & learned lot of things during their 145km journey & three days stay at Chitwan.
All children need care, love, encouragement, and support, and for children with learning disabilities, such positive reinforcement can help ensure that they emerge with a strong sense of self-worth, confidence, and the determination to keep going even when things are tough.
