Gap year volunteering work abroad

Volunteer Society Nepal has been providing gap year volunteering work abroad a unique and substantively great opportunity for the students of the United States of America (USA) including students from other countries as well, who are desirous of exploiting their Gap period in a more meaningful and productive manner than just travelling around and acquire different first-hand experiences by intermingling with the community and working for and with the community.

Among the students who thought so are Ms Arim Fremont, Mr Alex Gerstenhaber and Mr Justin Freeman respectively from St. Louis, Missouri; New York City and Lexington, Kentucky, USA. After undergoing the initial orientation, they are working now in a Monastery, Pokhara. They teach English and games to the young monks there in the monastery. They also observe and experience the life of the monks in the monastery.

My name is Arim Fremont and I am from St. Louis, Missouri. I just graduated from high school and I am currently taking a gap year before attending Washington University in St. Louis this upcoming fall. I am taking this gap year to travel, learn, and volunteer. Volunteer Society Nepal has allowed me to do all of these at once and I enjoyed my time tremendously working at the monastery in Pokhara. Next year, I plan to major in a combined program of psychology, neuroscience, and philosophy, as well as minoring in piano.

My name is Alex Gerstenhaber, and I am from New York City in the United States. I am currently taking a gap year before attending Harvard university in the fall. So far this year, as a result of my interests in international relations and development economics, I have attempted to visit and thoroughly understand as much of the developing world as I can, bringing me to Nepal and, in turn, Volunteer Society Nepal. Upon the culmination of my travels, I plan to utilize the power of technology to approach international relations and development economics from a data-driven standpoint, furthering these studies as both a government and computer science major.

My name is Justin Freeman and I am from Lexington, Kentucky. I am currently taking a gap year volunteering work abroad before attending university this upcoming fall. I plan to major in mechanical engineering in college.
